  We visit this store every time we are in town (sometimes more than once)! We have tried so many different flavors it’s hard to pick a favor we don’t like.  If you don’t want a new addiction then it’s best you stay away. Once you try it you will be hooked.

  Service was quick and desserts are delicious. The shaved snow is super soft and just enough. My plate was empty before I knew it lol. I got the korean pink drink milkshake and the strawberry cheesecake shaved snow 🍧 The pink drink kinda of taste like bubblegum. Will definitely be back

  If you're in the mood for something different for dessert, give this place a try. It's mostly shaved ice, but made creamy smooth, with a variety of flavors and toppings. They also mix up some fun drinks. The staff was polite with suggestions and patient while we figured out what to order.

  It was packed but quick friendly service. Shaved ice was excellent only not enough tables to sit and enjoy. We ate outside and was still delicious. My son's birthday day trip here was great. It gave it two thumbs up and 10 out of 10 on shaved ice flavor he got.

A Sweet Legacy Built for Glen Allen

It was love at first sight. As a former chef with a passion for food and community, I remember the first time I saw this magical “Shaved Snow” on social media. I was instantly captivated—not just by the name, but by this unique creation. How could I possibly get a taste of something so different? After diving into the story behind Vampire Penguin Shaved Snow & Desserts, I saw an opportunity to bring this experience to Virginia.

Determined to build a legacy for my children and family, I laid out my plan over a lunch date with my wife (and business partner) right in the middle of the pandemic. It didn’t take long before we were all in, and the journey began. I flew to Florida to meet other family-owned Vampire Penguin locations and, after tasting our signature menu options, I knew this was it.

That’s how we found our home here in Twin Hickory, Glen Allen, a quaint West End community, and opened our 1100-square-foot shop. The rest, as they say, is history.
